  • Insert Knife Cutterhead The insert knife cutterhead remains under the table and behind a guard until the drawer box is in position and up against the switch in the fence. The operator then operates the foot pedal, which begins the milling and drilling cycle.
  • 2 ¼" (57mm) Wide Insert Knife Cutterhead 2 ¼" (57mm) wide cutter allows for a wide range of undermount slides. The insert knives have four cutting edges and can be easily rotated when one cutting edge gets dull. The knives are an industry standard of 14mm x 14mm x 2mm. Knives are positioned both flat and vertical for clean cutting with clean edges.
  • Self-indexing drill unit The drill bit is designed to bore the location hole for the drawer slide. The drill head is powered by compressed air, and automatically indexes left and right depending on the side of the drawer being machined. The machine uses a ¼" drill bit.
  • Convenient drawer location The drawer is conveniently positioned using the table-mounted stops for both left and right drawer notches. The fence is equipped with left and right limit switches which determine the position of the drill bit.
  • Convenient foot pedal operation The machining cycle is commenced with a foot pedal, which leaves the operator's hands-free to adjust the drawer box to position optimum production throughput.
  • Drawer sample with left and right drawer notches A completed drawer box with both right and left drawer notches and drill holes. The fast cycle speed allows for a production capacity of up to 220 drawers per hour.

    The Cantek JEN60 Drawer Notcher is designed to both notch and drill drawer boxes to install undermount soft-close drawer slides. The operation of the machine is simple with a self-indexing drilling unit that's determined by the position of the drawer for either left or right notching. With a cycle time of approximately 10 seconds per drawer, you can achieve high throughput and save time for other important tasks
