  • Spiral Insert Knife Cutterhead Cutterhead The spiral insert knife cutterhead provides a smooth finish with a quiet cutting operation. 4-sided solid carbide insert knives (14x14x2mm) can be easily rotated for a new sharp cutting surface.
  • Sectional chip breakers It is equipped with sectional kickback fingers, sectional spring-loaded serrated pressure rollers, and sectional pressure shoes for the most positive and safe feeding operations. The outfeed roller is coated with urethane for a mark-free planed surface.
  • Convenient Machine Adjustments The idle bed rolls are conveniently adjusted from the front of the table. The eccentric cam allows you to raise and lower the bed rollers for optimum feeding results. A side handwheel adjusts the machine bed position for thickness setting. A ruler and indicator display the height.
  • Machine Table Equipped with adjustable idle bed rollers, which can be raised and lowered to facilitate feeding difficult material. The rollers are directly opposed from the top-driven feed rollers. The table surface is ground and polished to provide minimal friction.
  • Feed Mechanism & Motor Equipped with two feed speeds which are easily accessed through the side doors. A powerful chain feed system provides superior feeding results. A powerful 5HP motor drives the cutterhead and feed rollers.
  • 6″ Dust Port An efficient 6" dust port removes wood chips to provide a clean working surface with superior finish results. The machine's lid is lifted for changing knives, and the dust port is hinged, so it does not have to be removed during this process

    Compact and economically priced 20" planer with spiral cutterhead.

    The Cantek P20HV 20" Planer has a cast iron table and head assembly with a robust welded steel frame, resulting in a superior planing finish due to significantly reduced vibration. The spiral insert knife cutterhead runs extremely quietly, and the solid carbide inserts provide a smooth finish and have a long life. When one edge gets dull, rotate the knife 90 degrees for a new cutting edge. Knives can be rotated four times before needing to be replaced.
