  • Hold down rolls and bottom mounted saw blade Equipped with 11 top steel hold down rollers which hold material firmly and precisely on the fast iron feed chain. This results in a precision glue joint cut. The bottom mounted saw bade can be raised and lowered according to the material thickness. The rotation of the sawblade in fact forces the material down on the chain surface which results in an even safer operation with greatly reduced tendency for material kickbacks.

  • Rip Fence Rip fence adjustment is by convenient handwheel with rack and pinion system. Dual inch/metric scales on either side of the blade for accurate adjustment.
  • Top and bottom anti-kickback safety fingers Equipped with upper and lower kickback fingers and side guard to help prevent against material kickbacks.
  • Split feed chain The cast iron chain pads are machined with a v-groove design on the underside which runs in v-grooved chain rails resulting in a precision straight-line cut.
  • Variable feed speed adjustment Operator can conveniently adjust the feed speed of the machine for optimum output and finishing results. The feed speed ranges from 42 to 164 FPM.

    A precision straight line ripsaw for high production with improved safety features.

    The Cantek R18 bottom cutting straight line ripsaw is designed with performance and added safety in mind. Cutting from below forces the workpiece down on to the feed chain for superior hold down. In addition, the blade can project up above the workpiece to allow the gullet to clear the chips which leads to less heat buildup resulting in longer blade life and improved cut quality. The R18 is capable of producing a glue joint cut up to 12 feet. The powerful 20HP direct drive ensures optimum feed rates no matter what material or thickness you are cutting.
